You ever read something you wrote a long time ago and have it strike you funny?

I typed this:

Bought film, took pictures. May scan. Dunno. Keeping busy. We'll see. Complete sentences? Think not.

last year in my "Volkswagen Rabbit" journal and it just struck me funny.

You ever do that and how old IS the quote?

The first poem I ever published:

BANANAPHYLACTIC SHOCK

Anna Hanna
Ate a banana
And didn't peel it first.
Anna had a bad, bad feeling
Since such meals are not a-peeling.

Anna Hanna's
Fatal banana's
Peel stuck, and she choked.
She couldn't say a single word,
So Anna Hanna croaked.

Anna Hanna
Ate a banana
Fruit and skin and all.
Her slip with that banana peel
Has led to Anna's fall.

This was printed in the school yearbook when I was in third grade. I remember writing this poem, and being very proud of it. Every now and then my mother embarrasses me by hauling out that yearbook and showing this poem to total strangers as evidence that I was interested in medicine at a very early age.

WW: LMAO! That is good, especially for a third grader. No wonder your mom is so proud. ;)

That's good WW.

Too bad Anna Hanna can't be here to enjoy that poem.

I'll think twice before not peeling a banana.
