Do you have any idea how high that is? (I'm thinking you are a bit off with your estimate) This is about a 6-7 foot wave
Argh, it was about that high. I hate you for ruining my high. Okay, so, the wave was 7 feet, and I prolly hit 12-15 feet or so.
This guy is about 10 ft (to bottom of board) so you think you would have jumped over him? ;) (I'm saving this very moment right now...)

Yes, I could have.

After an all day company BBQ, I pinched the most awesome turd in the perfect shape of a question mark. I tempted calling my girlfriend into the bathroom to show her my masterpiece and ask her if she had any questions. I was beaming with pride that day.

high

This is the highest picture I could find. That looks about 20 feet or it could be funny camera tricks.

I think there's some camera trickery going on there. Maybe not.

well the closest thing was when i nailed a method over this biiiiigggg jump (on my snowboard). i was scared so sh1tless... i had seen this guy go over and pull this MASSIVE 360... i was so afraid i would go that high. needless to say, i didnt, but it was still pretty nice.

another time, i actually nailed a boardslide on a rainbow rail... that was scary too but i came off it and was like "YESSSSSSSSS!"

I scored some good waves Saturday, but nothing spectacular.

Tell you what. When I was in 8th grade on the wrestling team, I was a pretty mediocre wrestler. I was also wrestling up one weight class (125 when I weighed only 110 and should have wrestled 115) b/c the other 115 wrestler was the team captain, an all-american, etc. A spectacularly talented athelete whom I'd never beat.

Not that I was having any better luck against the 125 starter. But one week ONE WEEK I managed to best him and I ended up starting in that week's meet. Against the OTHER team's captain, who JUST squeaked in at 125 lbs. I dunno if this guy overestimated or got sloppy or what, but he left his leg hanging out, I heard my coach yell "PETERSON ROLL" and I grabbed that leg, rolled it over, locked in a reverse cradle, and just like that, I had pinned the dude after just 37 seconds.

It was amazing to see everyone leap up cheering like that. We always calculated our scores in advance based on the matchups we expected to win and lose, and we were set to lose the meet by 6 points if I was pinned, or lose by 3 if I lost by decision. I was not expected to win.
Well, all the other matches went as we expected. So my unexepected victory meant that we won the entire meet.

After that, I once again lost the starting spot and sunk back into mediocrity, but that was one of those perfect moments.

Hmmmm.... I was always taught that it was illegal to jump wakes on pwc. Maybe it's just in my state though.... They're a lot of fun, but if you keep doing stuff like that, you're going to piss off people and end up getting pwc's restricted more.

Well, my wedding day would be nice to freeze in time forever. :)

Other than that? I once played a movement of a Britten piece for an audition. I knew I had nailed it, and the two guys auditioning me did too. It was one of those performances I think about before big concerts and such. Funny thing is, I had limped through a Bach piece right before the Britten piece.

I was on my waverunner (Yamaha SUV1200), going down a channel, when I saw a yacht with two fly bridges throwing nice wake with a swell height of 10-15 feet. So, I get ready, floor my waverunner (max speed 50 mph which I was going), and line up for the jump. With this kinds wake, there are two smaller (but still large), wakes behind the main wave. Wham, perfect jump of all three waves. I must have been 20 feet in the air. I don't think any wave I can find will give me the same rush unless I can find an aircraft carrier going 30 knots somewhere around here. Well, I'm, done with this post, just wanted to post something about my fun day. Also, if you have had a similar experience make you feel this way, post it.

Try windsurfing on the Columbia River :D Crazy air :D

Cheers,
Aquaman

It's not illegal if you are just going down the channel, and just happen to go over the wake (I mean, it's unpossible to avoid such a tempting thing). If you do it intentionally and too close to the other behicle, a cop could bust your balls; but most people don't mind. Usually the kids on the boat like watching the show, and the parents don't care.
