they are gone.

Fortunately it's not a permanent type gone but it's still significant for me. My wife and kids left for Korea today, actually they left here saturday flew out to LA and spent a couple of days with my parents and my brother and today they left LA for Korea.

I really am surprised by how much i miss my wife already. I know some of you, especially among the younger crowd, are probably thinking How pathetic.

Maybe i am. I realize i don't spent casual time with many people other than my family. I don't really have any kind of social life. I don't know what to do with myself now that i have soo much time.

but it's amazing. i realize that everytime i reach for my cell phone to call my wife and so i can tell her how my day is going and realize that i can't. upon reflection i realized i probably call my wife 6 or 7 times a day.

She's my best friend.

Man, i really miss her.

btw, Link to yahoo Photo album is in my sig.

Pic of kids about 12 posts down.

No, no, no, believe me I understand what you're saying. I truly do. Sometimes you wish you could have time for yourself, etc. Once I do have time for myself I'm wishing I was back at home with my gf and family. It's really weird but I guess that's just the way life works. It works in mysterious ways. This is a good time to take and understanding of how much they truly mean to you and that if they were to leave forever you would be really sad.

Nah, you're assuming that wrong thing here...I'm sure most of AT wishes that they could find a woman that makes them as happy as your wife does, and that they can still feel that way every day into a marriage.

But it's okay, she'll be back.

man thats sad. are they staying there for good or for a couple of weeks/months only?

just look at it this way, when they were here, you really spent your time with them. you prioritized them, so you shouldn't feel too bad.

Anyway, hope you find something good to do.

BTW, can't get access to your sig.

:beer::)

Wow...long time man. Well, I'd say call up those buddies that you don't talk to much anymore (if there are any) or stopping and grabbing a beer with someone from work.

Or just load up a few video games and have at it hoss!

:D

make sure you find a way to show them how much you've missed them when they come back.

that'll fill your time.. find a project or two to surprise them with when they get back. something your wife's been wanting done, and something that will please the kids (2 projects.. heh). paint something. build something. clean out the garage. whatever. keep yourself busy doing something for the people you're missing, so you won't have time to miss them so much.

Updated sig with Pic of wife.

here is Pic of Kids

As to letting my wife and kids know, trust me, i'll call them daily once they arrive in korea. they left today at 5:00 pm EST and will arrive in Korea in about 16 hrs. i'll call them thursday morning.

Me, i've always wanted to be a family man. no desire for fame, money or power, being a good father and good husband has been my only goal in life.

so far i think i'm doing ok. my wife and kids love me and i love them.

but i'll tell you, having them go away really makes you realize JUST how much they mean to me.

(edit) absence makes the heart grow fonder.

i had a 2 hour drive to see a client today. it's hard to keep busy when you have to drive for 2 hours and that's when it hit me just how lonely i was. normally i would have just called my wife and like what are the kids doing, what should we do tonite . . . but i couldn't. talk about lonely. wow.

You sound like a very good person who has a grasp on the important things in life.
Congrats on the great relationship (we are all jealous)!

Good for you man, you're a decent human being; a dying breed nowadays. Chill, 30 days pass quickly and I'm sure they're thinking of you as much as you are of them.
