Let's be frank: Nunes is doing the entire planet a favor by taking himself out of political office. And he's going to be in for a rude shock when Trump's social network likely flounders.
Sort of - his seat will be filled in a special election, which a Republican will almost certainly win. In 2022 it will be up for general election where whoever succeeds Nunes will probably lose. (Redistricting is moving it to Biden +9)To be honest about it, that is probably exactly what is going to happen.
So much to unpack from that statement. There's an unstated admission that Trump ran the most corrupt administration in the countries history bit I can never confess it.To be honest about it, that is probably exactly what is going to happen.
His district was somewhat redistricted, and it wasn't going to be a cake walk again. I really just think he likes the smell of orange anus.Anyone else hope that he resigns, California fills his seat, then the Trump media gig falls flat on its face and he's left jobless?
Link?
I think it's the logical end to a Republican congressional career like his. He never attempted to enact any meaningful legislation, he just served as a loyal apparatchik with the hopes of getting a future payday, which he appears to think has arrived.I wonder if this has something to do with the pedo bear talk that was happening a few months ago.

I'm not sure how confident of this I would be though, he always struck me as a Kendall Roy of sorts - the guy who thought he was on the inside and was a big player but nobody took him seriously and he is entirely expendable.
Nunes and Trump suing each other would be entertaining. Not sure which of the two is the more sue happy. That sounds accurate. Nunes seems to be oblivious to Trump's long, long history of screwing over virtually everyone who works for him; the soon-to-be-ex-Congressman is in for a rude shock when the social platform fails and Trump blames him for it.
They'd both sue Sue, even after she made'em both happy.Nunes and Trump suing each other would be entertaining. Not sure which of the two is the more sue happy.
I'm still convinced they only got elected by voter fraud and there should be a recount.I'm ashamed that both Nunes and McCarthy are Representatives from the State of California. I'm ashamed of the partisan constituency that elected them; and I'm sorry for the remaining voters in those districts which Nunes and McCarthy simply refuse to represent at all.
They're not "US Representatives". They don't "represent" their entire districts in the Capitol. And that insinuates one of the problems we have with at least one party: over-riding, exclusive partisanship.
