You can tell just by looking at him that Shane Battier is a very intelligent man

Doh, there was this one photo in the Charlotte Observer back when they beat Carolina for the ACC title--Battier had this weird-ass look on his face and was posed in such a way that he looked like a monkey hanging onto a branch!! I wanted to scan it in and do some PhotoShop to it but I lost the damn thing--rats!
 
He talks about the deep groves in his head in a recent issue of Maxim.

Anyway, at the first Duke - NC State game that I went to at the ESA last year and saw something quite striking. About 3 guys in front of us had on rubber flesh colored head coverings that made them look bald. Then the each had black stripes going down length wise making fun of Battier.
 
It looks like he shaves his eyebrows too...

Still better looking than J.R. Reid, Chris Lang, and Rasheed Wallace.
 
Shane is an awesome player and he handle himself nicely on the court. Coach K also has enough respect for his players to tell them to "go with instinct" when they are behind because he realizes the talent and ability of each player. 🙂
