I like the shelby cobra (forget what year, the one that was on "gone in sixty seconds").

There was no shelby Cobra in that movie - However, you are talking about a 1967 Shelby Mustang GT 500 (modified and not stock if you want the movie version)

Thanks. :)
Im not a huge car buff, but that car seemed pretty kick ass.

Yeah, the starship Enterprise looks pretty kick ass in the movies too but in reality it's just a bunch of studio sets on some back lot in North Hollywood.

Kleemann C 55k S8 Benz, or an E39 M5 S2 Bimmer. Have the give the edge to the C class since I would have to drive it all the time. Traffic would suck with the BMW.

1995 dodge intrepid...oh wait that is what i have! aren't i lucky?!!? :)

You have extremely low standards.

It might be an automatic.

You mean Dodge made that car with a manual transmission? :Q

with an autostick. i had a 97 intrepid, you could put it in manual mode and shift with no clutch. was more of a novelty than anything for me. i did love that car tho.

Okay, that's a no then.

I guess we always have a soft spot for our first car. I'm assuming that it was your first car anyway, because nobody could love a 97 dodge intrepid otherwise.

Lotus Exige Sport Cup, one of 50 ever made.

I think this is perhaps one of the sexiest sedans on the planet. I could drive this everyday for many years.

Yeah I figured you would say that. ;)

Well, I would have picked that car if it weren't for the you have to drive the crap out of it statement. I don't think I could live with that car being my only form of transportation...which is why I chose the Mercedes CLS AMG sedan.

That means it's pretty much your daily driver, because you have to drive it all the time. I'd love to have many of the cars you all picked, in addition to some others (1968 442 W-30 4spd, 1982 Datsun 240Z 5spd and some others), but according to the rules, exotics and restored muscle cars, and beefy awesome sports cars just aren't practical. So I would honestly pick what I have now: a large domestic pickup truck. They last forever, they can take a beating, and maint. is cheap.

Read my above post. Confirmed by OP.

If you're gonna drive the heck out of it, free maintenance, insurance- might as well get a big luxury V8 suv with all the trimmings. Or else a box-frame pickup- they last forever.

Now that I did some googling, a Mercedes G-Wagen with light armor, bullet-proof glass and run-flat tires would be nice.:D

Tough one. Would this be the only car I am allowed to drive? If so, BMW M5. If i can have other cars as daily drivers etc, either a Aston Martin Vanquish or Ferrari F430

Although if im driving teh crap out of them, theyd break down within a few months

factoring in maintanence cost like gas and repairs?

if so, Jaguar XJ6 (basically, the XJ8 with a V6), or Lotus Exige

if it is maintenance free, then AM DB9 or any TVR offering.

What does it matter when the large piece of ferrous oxide is worth less than 40 bushels of wheat?

Rogo

I'll take a 1932 AC 320 for the win.

I also choose the same vehicle I have now, but if I had the opportunity back then and knew about the car I'd take a brand new one. Don't ask me why but I just do. Maybe because it's the last production year, '01 Prelude. Nothing fancy by any standards, but I dreamt of driving one ever since I set my eyes on it. And now I do.

If I ever do see a '85 Pontiac Bonneville in decent shape today I'd consider picking one up for old time sakes and use it as a weekend car and treat it like you old folks treat your 68 Camaros'.

I knew a guy who had one of those  He finally sold it and got a very pretty penny for it.

I don't know about decent fuel economy though...far from it.

I don't know car brands or models, but it'd be some sort of efficient luxury car.
