 It is the other way around. The BMW SMG sucks, the manual is still the way to go.

Porsche Carrera GT is all I need. That unique V10 sound accompanied by Porsche soul throughout.

I didn't know Acura made a Type R version of the NSX. I know Honda did.

The engine was designed for the SMG, several sources mention that the manual is not the right transmission for this car. It is the same transmission used in the E39 made by Getrag I believe. Also IIRC, manual equipped cars do not have the choice of switching off stability control.

No, check your sources again. You can turn off SC with a 6 speed and the SMG still sucks.

BMW tells us that the DSC in the six-speed M5 can't be disabled because of warranty concerns associated with aggressive launches.

With no workable way to defeat DSC, we selected M Dynamic Mode for all of our performance testing.

You have extremely low standards.

It might be an automatic.

You mean Dodge made that car with a manual transmission? :Q

with an autostick. i had a 97 intrepid, you could put it in manual mode and shift with no clutch. was more of a novelty than anything for me. i did love that car tho.

As for me I would take a nice fancy luxurious yet fast, tuned and powerful BMW G7 :D

Which is why I'd go for a lovely lexus LS or GS.

An F430 or F50 would be quite nice.

I would normally pick a Viper, but I hear the cabin gets a bit hot during extended driving and that might not be very fun after the initial thrill of the car wears off (approximately infinity years).

1967 Lincoln Continental Convertible, every single option checked. Black exterior, black and white interior.

Parts are still cheap, I'd do the maintainence myself, it'd be more expensive to maintain than a civic, but when you factor the "not having to pay for the car" into the equation, it's a bargain.

that, and the 6mt overheated in C&D testing. BMW pretty much shot themselves in the foot with the new M5. they couldn't seem to get that one right.

edit: ok, well that may have been a little harsh. there is a crowd that hates the SMG, and their implementation of the 6MT was just poor, to say the least.

I would have the same vehicle I have now - Dodge RAM 2500 with a 6.7 Liter Cummins Turbo engine. I would just pick a 2007 model, since mine is a 2006.
