You can now dupe on Diablo II realms

Hacks which are out now allow you to dupe items on the realms. I really hope blizzard fixes this soon. The economy is just ruined.

Why the hell does Diablo seem to get all the hacker enthusiasts? There's rarely a rampant problem with duping or other hacks in other online RPG's...

I'm actually impressed that it took this long to happen. Blizzard did a good job on this one.

It DIDN'T take this long to happen. People have been duping items on Diablo II for about an year. Nothing new, just probably more mainstream now...

On closed bnet? (haven't played since about a month after it came out). I'm aware it's been going on on the open servers for a long time, but I didn't realize it was happening on closed.

yeah talk about just DESTROYING the economy, i don't have sojs because they are impossible to find but now duping is back in and i can't trade anything because im scared it's duped. after the patches duped items are all nulified. my friend's windforce went missing after the patch upgrade to 1.09, it must have been duped because he traded 3 sojs for it

it's like not going shopping because of counterfeit bills being distributed

oh, thats great. no longer will only nutbags that can spend hundreds of hours playing or pay hundreds of dollars on ebay will get to play with decent stuff

some people are not too bright, why would you spend REAL DOLLARS on ebay for something in a game?

i found the harlequin crest about a week ago and some dude offered me 10 bucks for it through pay pal. lol, too funny

All the godly items you see for trade since yesterday are duped..... the question is what will Blizard do about it. After they patch up the system so that new dupes can't be created..... it will take a while for a good percentage of the dupes to disappear.

The really scary part is that the new dupes are "completely clean." You can't spot them by sockets or personalization. As far as I know, the only way to guarantee a non-duped item is either by finding it yourself or by trading for a NON-IDENTIFIED unique/set item.
