And this one just makes me want one even more then ever, damn they are fast!

Just found out that the smarttech uses almost the same exact parts as the FG MT, AND, that the XTM Grizzly truck is a Smartech Bigfoot rebadged by XTM.
Acording to this forum thread here.

Looks as though smartech is making quite a few RC cars out there re badged by other brand names like XTM and Duratrax. I didnt know that.

$500.00 for that? Wow! Looks like its made of cheap made-in-china parts. I could buy one for under a hundred, buy a weed-eater for $59, and remove the moter to put in the toy for a third that price. But I have bigger toys now, like a real truck. I'll pass.

RC cars, particulary ones with engines, are very expensive.

It would not be hard at all to spend 500$ on a rather basic electric RC car.

And no, you couldn't. These cars have real suspensions and gearboxes, at least the good ones. I've always wanted one.....

What isnt now a days?

$500 for that is not all that bad, most of these that run on 2cycle gas start around $1K and go from there, the 1:8 scale nitro burning are around the price of this, Id much rather have this, 30 minute run times, regular pump gas=loads of fun.

If it's a 8/10 HP weedeater motor that's one thing, but it could be a Zenoah (same displacement) that reliably develops 3 HP without a pipe and up to 6HP with a pipe. My boy has a 50" Apache boat that does an honest 45 MPH. They are well over $500.
