I don't think I'm being sensitive because I'd resent being called stupid by a person who wouldn't know me from a hole in his mama's head.

Not a comment directed at you...more an observation that in dealing with military officers, particularly those who have seen combat...they have little patience or tolerance for stupid questions from an equally clueless media corps.

he is from my home town. all of his family was and is just like him. very calm and polite. just dont stir their sh*t up. not taking up for him because he can surely take up for himself. but do you find the majority of reporters to be stupid?

I find them to be focused on sensationalism that gets their name know and advertising dollars to their networks and media. They are what we want them to be by the choices we make in media. So yes, i find you stupid, er rather all of us.

I really feel sorry for Colin Powell. He could have been so great given the right circumstances.

Watching him during his speech to the UN before the Iraq invasion, you could see that he didn't believe what he was saying.

In my opinion, he was a great statesman who believed in doing the right thing. I think what he was required to do under the Bush administration broke him.
I doubt many take Rice seriously at all.

Colin Powell did plan to run for President. I think it was in 1996 or 2000. Anyway, he withdrew after receiving death threats against his family if he stayed in the running.
