I worked directly with two of these goofs. Both were bad JuJu from the git-go. Previous histories of known problems. No idea why they got hired. Both caused repeated problems.

If this is true, this is exactly the reason people hate and fear and don't respect the police. It's true you can't always get great individual workers in any industry, but time and time again the departments the shitheads work for stand up for them until they are caught. Every citizen needs a camera on their chest pointing outwards at what they see, constantly uploading to a cloud that is easily accessible by the person wearing the camera and pre-approved others.

How is it self defence if they shoot her after she's thrown it? It's not like she's going to fill another one, put that on the hob, wait 5 minutes till it's boiling again then throw it while they wait patiently.

From the shooter's body cam it appears that he shoots her as she throwing it. She pops back up, her hands go to the pot, and the water and pot end up across the kitchen at the shooter's feet as he fires. His arm blocks seeing anything else.
I'm not defending the cop here. He had no reason to advance on her like that. He was negligent for sending a mentally disturbed woman into the kitchen. He was an asshole from the getgo. He caused this. But his attorney will destroy a 1st degree murder charge.
It should be 2nd degree or manslaughter.
