Yoda vs. Gandalf

Considering the guy who played Gandolf in LOTR was gay.. I think Yoda stands the better chance.

However, if we are talking about the pure character Tolkien created.. then definitely Gandalf.

But if you want an answer I'd have to say Gandolf

It is common sense, look at physical powers of Gandalf compared to old ass Yoda. No match.

From what I can see Yoda has no form of attack...don't believe I've ever seen him brandish a lightsaber. And we all know Gandalf can kick ass...so reluctantly I must go with Gandalf.

wait for EP2. Apparently yoda brandishes not only a light saber but is also a bad bad bad ass. We'll have to wait until EP2 to get the final answer on this. Yoda is a goofy little bastard but finally he'll put his money where his mouth is.

He's supposed to fight in one of the prequels. I'm not sure if it's in AToC or Ep3 though. I think one of the CD covers for the soundtrack has Yoda holding a ball of force lighting, but I'm not sure if he actually uses it. I also read something a few months back that they were researching a double sabre fighting technique, only using short sabres (like the sai fights in The Mummy Returns) for Yoda, as apparently he uses a unique style (as all the jedi do).

Yoda definitely! No one messes with the Force. Just wait till you see him kicking ass with his lightsaber(s) and force powers, then you'll realize who the true master is...

There was some Star Wars book I read (it might have been Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zahn) that hinted to the fact that Yoda had an ultimate lightsaber duel vs. some dark jedi on Dagobath. Since the dark presence remained from the sith it masked Yoda and that's how he was able to remain undiscovered by Vader.

Excuse me, the force is not available to all. Only a select few can harness it. I'm thinking Kyle Katarn from JKII with all force powers could beat down Gandalf
