we have these at work also, great little printers and cheap toners.

Cheap toner cartridges? Not so much..... even with the generics which may or may not work according to reviews.

Great little printer. Had mine for over a year and no issues. I refill the cartridges myself it's cheap and easy to do. You can get a refill kit online for about $16 which converts the starter cartridge to a TN-450. Good for something like 4500 pages. Got this to break the expensive inkjet habit.

I've heard nothing but bad news from AbsoluteToner dot com.
I heard they will steal your money as well as your credit card numbers and you'll never see any product.
They also use shady advertising tactics and underhanded spamming.
Avoid at all costs.

Please do not quote spam posts. It causes a lot more work for us. We can easily locate and delete all posts by a spammer at once but, if people quote them, those quotes still remain with all the spam info. Then we have to go to every thread where they posted and look for quotes and delete them. So everyone please take pity on us and don't quote spammers. Thanks!

FWIW, I recently ran out of the original cartridge in my 2270DW and grabbed 2 of these from Amazon for substantially cheaper than a single Brother refill, and they work great so far. Easy install, and prints are indistinguishable from the original cartridge.

You can probably buy a cartridge for that much...refill kits go for as low as $5-8.

You show me a link to a "quality" cartridge that goes for $16 and actually works reliably. Then you show me a "quality" toner refill kit that goes for $5-8. There are a lot of crap quality generic no-name toners out there that will not only ruin your cartridge but your laser printer as well. If you want to risk putting a $5 toner in a very expensive OEM cartridge or tanking your printer just to save a couple bucks then by all means have at it!

The kit I bought was not just a toner kit but a conversion kit to make the starter cartridge into a TN-450 extended capacity cartridge. It worked flawlessly.

Done. I was skeptical at first, but I didn't want to mess around with refills or conversion kits (although I'm sure there are decent ones amongst the impostors), and I've been very happy thus far.
