I went to BB to look at digital cameras and DVD's but ended up in the video game section. I was looking at the controllers since I still have the older big ones. The guy working there told me that the Japanese version of the S-Controller was on sale but not the US version. I picked up 2 of them for 29.98, the standard price of one controller. This was at the BB in Westwood Los Angeles, good deal for us UCLA students.
Goodluck, not sure if maybe you could get another store to match this store's price.
 
The japanese controllers have shorter cords and have a different symbol in the middle.

Its funny they list the shorter cord as a special feature.

 
speaking of which im heading down to ralphs right now to buy some alchi for tonight, mabye ill stop by the westwood Best buy to see how many are left

I actually like the Japanese-S controller (I ended up buying an extension for it, but then again I woulda needed it with the regular S controller anyway). They green jewel in the center looks nicer and matches the XBox.

I'll check to see if they have any at one of my local Best Buys when I stop by tonight. (My 2nd BB of the day). 🙂
 
Good deal. I picked up a couple of these when they were $19.99 at BB a few months ago. I also agree that they're nicer looking than the U.S. controller s...and since I like to be up close to the action, the shortened cord isn't an issue for me. Might have to stop by BB before seeing the Matrix and see if I can get in on this...
