I've seen these at 2 Ralphs, but not sure if it's all of them. They're in the clearance section by all the pots & pans. These machines are $65 on Amazon and the cheapest I'm seeing them on Google is $59. One of the Ralphs had 1 of the Sodastreams kits, which was $39 and came with an extra C02 tank and like 30 or 40 different single serving flavor syrups bottles.

I believe pepsi just released sodastream syrups too, so if you like some of their stuff it might be worth it to check out.

If anyone is interested, you can buy adapters off Amazon for 20 bucks to retro fit a paintball tank, like 24oz. Then you can have it filled at a sporting good store if the gas is clean or you could easily find a food grade dispensary near you. The cost of refills then drops dramatically since they get you in the canister refills. Refills for a 24oz tank of fg co2 would be around 5 bucks vs 35 for a new skinny canister from sodastream.

Last year Big Lots also had a lot of these for about the same price. I didn't think the product was catching on, so never got too interested.

It isn't cheaper unless you go the Paintball Canister route... The benefit is then you have different flavors you can use daily for change of pace and less space used. It also sends less trash to the dump if you care about that. My cost per Liter is about 40cents I think so it takes forever to make back what you spent on everything if you compare it to the cost of 2L bottles.

Either way I have been using mine for 4 years now and my dad about a year now and many friends use them as well.

Also you can save money on the flavors on the Sodastream outlet store every once in awhile

The people I know that have one all say there's no reason to get one if cost is the main concern. The real perk is being able to create your own flavors, and as weak or strong as you want.
