Don't know how long this will last, but it worked for me this morning.

Newegg price matches their own ads on Pricewatch, and currently has the Seagate Green 1.5Tb hard drive (5900rpm) listed as $64.99 with $2.99 shipping.

HOWEVER, their website price is currently $79.99, with $7.28 shipping! 😱

Here's how you have to do it. Go here, and click on the link to the drive at Newegg (should be the first ad on the page). That will take you to the Newegg page, where it's priced at the higher price.

Newegg does NOT do phone orders, so what you have to do is order the drive at the higher price, and complete the checkout. Once you have done that, and have an order number, call their customer service line (800-390-1119), navigate through the talking computer menu, and get a human on the line. Tell them you want to price match to their ad on Pricewatch, and they'll take a few minutes to check that price. Once they do, they'll notify you that they will match that price.

The girl I spoke with was very nice, and all I had to do was reply to her e-mail with my order number. Once the item ships, they do the price adjustment to your credit card, and you get back ~$19.29 (if I remember right).

Limit of 1 per order, so you can't stock up at this price......but if you're looking for a good storage drive (4-eggs rating at Newegg), this is a killer deal right now.

YMMV, as they may pull/change the ad at any time. If that happens while you're on the phone, and they won't price match, just cancel the order immediately, before they can charge you a restocking fee.
