11 Watt compact flourescent bulbs, equivalent to 60 watt incadescent in terms of light output. Marked down from $2.95, usually at least $2-$3 each most places, Ikea in Whitemarsh (near Blatimore, MD) has them for $0.99 each as of 1/11/03. Limit 6 per customer. Not sure if this is local or part of the winter sale event. Save on electricity, last longer, etc. etc.

May be nationwide, but still, there are only a handful of IKEA stores in this country. Lucky me, I live next to an IKEA :D

IKEA saved me so much money when I moved, yeah!

I've always thought IKEA was kind of pricey, but other keep telling me that they are at least reasonably priced.

Ikea being pricey? Hmmm... I don't know where you usually buy furniture (and that was no insult). I think Ikea gives you excellent bang for the buck. Unless you have to move your stuff several times, Ikea stuff usually lasts for quite a while. I moved a rather cheap entertainement center 3 times and it is still in excellent shape.

Bought some new pans from them, think they are great. I am not much for Calphalon and the like (IMO it's a rip-off) but the Ikea stuff works very well for me.

Sorry, not really related to this link. But I would say that those bulbs are a good deal for 99c. Now, the question is: do I want to put up with the hordes at Ikea? Or should I wait till classes resume?

I picked up 10 (the maximum) from the Tukwila/Kent/Seattle store, at .95 cents apiece.

They're not bad bulbs, though they do take a bit longer to warm up than my Panasonic "natural light" flourescents.
