I know this deal was posted before, just noting that my Costo in Fredericksburg, VA got in more of these priced at $69 with a $50 rebate from TDK for and end price of $19+Tax. Very Nice if you need one or are building a new system. Of course these sell fast, so if your Costco got any new ones in, Im sure they will go fast. There were 8 on the shelf in the AM today when I went to get some business supplies, and only 2 left when I checked back at 6pm after I got my cheap costco gas fillup :D Good luck.
Note...this is not the 48X model, but the older 40X.

Yea, same with my Costco. They moved to the 48X early this month and havent seen these 40x since then....then all of a sudden today I see 8 of the 40x on the shelf. The 48x tho has a rebate as well, but nothing near as hot as this. I wish I needed these but I don't, so I didn't buy any this time...besides I think the rebate is 1 per household, but anyways I am on probation  I can only buy what I actually need and I am waiting for the DEll 4550 deal to get really good at xmas and pick up two with 17in ultra LCDs...Ho Ho Ho

Incredible performance on this drive. Absolutely the best DAE I've ever used (puts my Plextor to shame).

Even the 32x12x40 cendyne (lite-on) from Staples this summer for $2.49 after coupon and rebate is nice. I will have to check into this for friends.

Almost as nice as the Staples 48x Lite-On for $20AR. :)

or omax's $15 liteon. :) :)

WRT DAE none of the above can compare to the TDK. This is very hot deal also, since the costco rebates always come through...

A friend of mine said he saw the TDK VeloCD 48x CD-RW at Costco. It was $99 - $40 MIR = $59 final price. I'll have to go there myself and check it out. Is this a good deal, or should I just pass up on this?

I purchased one of these at my local Costco for $69.00w/50 rebate on October 1st. At the time of purchase I had them check surrounding Costco's for availability. The Costco I went to was 2hrs away from the Fredericksburg VA store. On October 1st the computer showed the Fredericksburg store to have 8 on hand. So they were probably misplaced in the back or behind a bunch of items in the lock-up cage. Good luck finding any of these...

I checked it out at Pentagon location and then drove all the way down there, the result: picked up the last two at noon! The on-hand number shows in Costco system is not real-time, therefore it will update the quantity he next day.
Thanks to Carl, the FE supervisor who actually walked on floor and did a physical check before I started to drive down. Thanks again, Carl!
