YMMV Best Buy Galaxy 768mb GTX 460 - $85 AR

I missed out on the GTX 460 and 480 deal through Newegg. Turns out, there is also a "Channel-Wide" rebate going through galaxy right now, too. So the YMMV part is all pending on where you find the card, and what price you pay. My local Best Buy has this card on sale for $115.99 (from $224.99), so that's where I grabbed mine (receipt below if you can get them to pricematch). If you can score the 1gig version cheaper - it has a $40 rebate!

THIS is the Channel-Wide offer: SIC-6355

YMMV - but hopefully you guys can either use the rebate and snag the cards locally, or on the net.

I have this card and play BF3 at 1900x1200 on just ONE of these cards and it is amazing! Most settings are on high and it's very smooth! Phenomenal card for 65$.

It seems I jumped the gun - and read the rebate wrong. the newegg one lists the same card with a $50 rebate. The channel wide rebate on this is only $30.

not sure why its different, but it is.

The 1 gig version has a $40 rebate, so it seems like that is the better deal depending upon price. Still, for $170 for the pair and having them local, I'm quite content.

Still a solid deal for $85. Darn, that $65 felt so much sweeter!

Was this purchased online? Because I'm looking at your receipt and it appears that the purchase has a what i assume is a purchase order and it says its a pickup in-store Chesterfield, MI and the store was Roseville, MI... Did you go to one store and they were out of stock and pay for them to be picked up at another store? My local best buy has 2 in stock and the price is 134.99, so not so hot for me.

I barely got in on the Newegg deal last Saturday morning and snagged one for $70 AR. It went OOS almost immediately thereafter so I didn't bother to post it here.

Like many Galaxy rebate deals, this one is good for 2 cards.

my local store had it for $115.99, but they were out of stock. I had them order me 2 from the chesterfield store and paid at the roseville store at roseville's price ($115.99).

this is a YMMV, but it exists, which is why I posted the receipt. If you can get in on the deal, its a pretty solid price for 2 gtx 460's.

Initially I thought it was a $50 rebate per card, because that's what newegg has as a rebate for this card right now. I emailed the galaxy rebate people to see if the channel wide $30 is a mistake, as I'd much rather get $50 back per card.

134.99 here as well, the clerk said that since they are clearance the individual stores have more leeway in determining the amount of clearance markdown they offer on the item.

Seeing $225 here, is in stock at all the local stores.

Gonna stop in tomorrow to see if they have them on clearance in my area. Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for the heads up. I might get a second one. My BB still has a few. I sent the rebate in for the first one and did the fast track rebate for $3. They approved it and I should get it in a few days. I would rather get $3 less than have to wait 8-10 weeks.

111.99 snagged last on at my local best buy. $82 for a PCI card for the kids/wife gamer.. should be ready for Diablo III coop fun. Think I'll leave it all sealed up for a couple weeks just in case some insane holiday deals shows up and I end up just passing down a 4890.
