Apparantly my two local K-Mart stores just got a whole new batch of floor model cordless phones and they're putting their old floor models aside... I just picked up a motorola 5.8 for 28$... I know K-mart stays roughly in sync nationally for sales and stuff, so I figure this should be similar....

Hope this helps someone

not to poop on your thread, but some 5.8ghz phones only receive at 5.8, and actually transmit at 2.4ghz. have you tried using it while a microwave is running? I got one at CC like 2 months ago for ~40 and was pissed when the microwave was interfering with it.

If it is a true 5.8 congrats!

I think my head would explode if that was true.... I go for 5.8 to keep from interfering with wifi :-s

exactly. Sounds good if you have a wireless network and have no interference, unless of course you're running 802.11a

That's why wifi has multiple channels...so you can change to a channel your phone won't interfere with...it helps to have the phone base and wifi access points in different locations...

>30 means GREATER THAN 30. So you are saying the phones could be $31, or $50 or $500 or anything.
<30 means LESS THAN 30.
