Picked up this camera at Big Lots and it's quite nice. You can look up the specs on the Vivitar web-site.

Much better quality than the $80 dig. camera at Office Max. It takes 4 AA batteries (to include NiMH), has 8 MB built in memory and takes up to 128 MB of CF cards. Comes with a case and 1 year warranty (parts and labor) from Vivitar.

The pics seems fine and the flash is quite bright.

Hey Unc...did you check out this camera? They have samples of actual photos taken with the 3615 at the Vivitar web-site. I highly recommend this camera. Based on what I've read (Consumer Reports)/heard (photo dept. manager friend with 20 years experience working in the photo developing business), 2.0 Megapixels is good enough for a high quality 8x10 picture. I've got a Pentax 2.0 MP and it takes GREAT 4x6 prints...haven't tried blowing up to 8x10 but will in the near future.

I bought the Vivitar 3615 to use at work and it's working great. As a bonus, the Westland, MI Big Lots had 1 camera left for $67.00 out the door (they are moving and everything at this store is 20% off).

With the 24 ct. rechargable Ni-MH AA battery deal (2000 MA) from BatterySpace.com (~$29 with shipping plus the cost of a charger if you don't already have one) and a $30-$40 128 MB CF card...you get a really nice dig. camera combo deal for ~$150. And you never have to buy those expensive lithium camera batteries which sell for ~$10-$12 each. I've been using the above batterities in my Pentax and they work GREAT and last a while.
