I was watching this show on PBS about hackers. Yeah, I think hackers are complete assholes, who need to get out instead of messing with other peoples' things. But, they were talking about this group of people who play "hacking games", which they actually use as training or preperation for a hacker-attacker. (I made that word up myself.
). It got me to thinking....
Wouldn't it be cool if there was like...this multiplayer game on the web, you download the game, and the game is just sort of like...writing code and trying to build up your defenses while trying to break through other peoples'? Of course, no actual hacking would be done, someone would set up a defense that protects their IMAGINARY computer (I guess it would just be something activated in the game), and try to break into other peoples? I dunno, maybe this is just rambling, but my imagination got going...sounds like it could be fun if done properly.
