Here is the setup.
Audigy 2 zs connected to Logitech Z-5500 through
1) RCA analog, which works fine
2) Digital Co-axial with a 1/8inch mono rca adapter, which does not.
The co-axial in on the Z-5500 works fine with other inputs, such as the cable box, so I know that the speakers are not the problem.
I have read all the other posts and I have done some other online research along with Logitech's website and its help regarding how to hook-up the speakers with the sound card to no avail.
The audigy is configured for 5.1 with digital out only and no DTS, DD processing as suggested in Logitech's website.
I have also tried several co-axial cables, though none of the cables are labeled co-axial digital cable, which should not matter that much. I realize that audigy 2 and the z-5500 might be picky about cables; therefore, I am planning on buying a monstrosity cable from best buy just to see if it will work with that.
Another thing I have not tried is to unplug the RCA in from the Audigy while connecting the digital co-axial from the Audigy at the same time, which occurred to me as I was writing this post.
I have not been able to check to see if the digital co-axial out on the sound card is working or not, but the hardware test of the car seems to work fine. Any way I can check to see if this is working without getting a receiver?
Any other suggestions welcome, and thank you in advance.
