Yet another Win Installation Problem

After building my new nf4 yesterday, Ive spent 5 hrs today trying to load an O/S onto it.

AMD64 3200+ skt 939
DFI lanpart UT Ultra-D
Leadtek 6600GT TDH Extreme
2 x 512 Generic RAM
Pioneer 109 DVDRW
WD 160G HDD - NOT running SATA
400W PSU

I firstly tried WinXP x64 Beta downloaded 2 weeks back. After changing the Boot order to CD then HDD then Removable in the BIOS i saved and reset. The XP Install started up and installed its files, but before presenting me with a licence agreement, partition table or any option whatsoever it states "Setup is now starting Windows" and restarts. Obviously the computer boots from CD again and enters the O/S install sequence, at the end of which it reboots again... over, and over..

When the install rebooted the computer for the third time, I entered into the BIOS and changed the Boot order so HDD was first. When the computer booted up the next time round it halted at: "Verifying DMI sequence..." then nothing.

Trying the same with Win2K Pro the installer gives me the licence agreeement, which after Ive agreed to, locks up with blue screen givng a different error everytime.

Ive tried turning ACPI off - XP x64 wont boot without it enabled, and it makes no difference to 2K Pro.

Ive tried running HAL mode as "standard PC" - no difference to either.

Ive got no floppy, so ive tried CD-emulation boot disks, they didnt work either.

Any help / ideas would be great, thanks.
