I decided to get into the Linux thing and I have an older computer that was given to me to use while the owner is moving (Months to a year on a waiting list:thumbsdown:) but anyway the owner said to keep linux on it as long as it is easy for him to do basic stuff (Web, Email, Emulators SNES Sega NES Atari but none of the "Newer" stuff) But the twist is the computer has a TV Tuner card in it so I will need a distro that will allow the card to work for watching TV (No recording as the computer only has a 30GB Hard disk)
Any way without further stalling here are the specs
Whitebox Tower (Built of parts that I had laying around years ago then "Upgraded" when I found more parts)

Asus A7V
AMD Duron 1000MHZ 1.0GHZ
640MB Of PC-133
Maxtor 30GB IDE hard drive
Hauppauge PVR-150MCE
Lite-On 16X DVD-Rom
CD-RW (52 X 32 X 52)
400 Watt Generic PSU
Intel NIC 10/100
C-media CMI8738 Chipset PCI Card
Netgear WG-311 (Not required to work I can always use a wired connection)
Thanks

I was trying to use Xububtu but which is a good basic Linux distro that I can add a TV app to? The key is easy to use the more like a Windows GUI OS the better. I thought the XUbuntu was prety easy but I am more of a power user then a casual computer user so I just want an easy but free OS with a TV app that can play some old games with an emulator (Nothing newer than N64)

Aha! Now that their site is up, I can see that "Ubuntu 7.04 [and later I'm sure] includes IVTV firmware and drivers directly and doesn't require any installation."

So, Xubuntu should work. All you have to worry about is choosing a TV app. I'm kind of partial to Kaffeine - but mainly because it's the only app I can get to work with my ATSC digital TV tuner (PVR950). You've got analog, so you've got choices. :) Search for TV in synaptic, and it shows a few possibilities.
