So anyway, I live in an area where computers are a new thing to most of the locals, I do a little support for local business on the side, and at times will receive some quite odd messages...

I was checking my voicemail messages, and ended up laughing for a good 5 minutes before I could return this "support" call...

I guess it is better than the calls I have received asking for more "Megs"

Got to love living in backwater country...

HP Celly 400... with a whopping 1.9 gig drive... Windows 98 (not second edition) and all of the fun factory software...

They are a florist and yes, they run thier whole shop off that one unit.

I run into that a lot, and suggesting they get a new PC gets me a look like I am asking them to sacrifice their first born.

She has QuickBooks on the system and downloaded the update... The update said that she had to have 85 megs free to install, so she went on a deleting spree...

I suggested a new hard drive, and for that matter a new computer, but they got that system two years ago, and it could not possibly be outdated already.

Damn. Microsoft needs to develop "Windows 2004: AOL Edition" for people like this. They'd make a killing

The french are bricks of crap anyway, so she was just saying he was going to act like a frenchmen when he finds it.

She clicked the link to MSDos prompt and it's probably set to full screen rather than Window'd mode. If she just typed exit, she probably would have went back to windows.
