Yet Another Steam and Halflife 2 Problem

So I open up steam today and it downloaded an update....but then it started to install it and I get this error:

"ERROR: unable to open WriteMiniDump.exe for writing"

Then it exits. I can't get into HL2 or CS:S, anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Try the Steam forums,they normally have solutions,however their forums are down for me at the moment.

This is the EXACT reason why I hate steam...when it dosn't work you can't play....they actually forced me into writing my final paper....
