Yet another soundcard thread

I usually read these threads when they come up, so I hope I'm not going over explored territory. I run my computer sound through my stereo speakers, and I use the S/P DIF for DVD and music; and the 1/8" mini-plug to RCA converters for gaming and such. I'm looking for a card that's 3 parts music/DVD and 1/3 gaming. I'd like to run the S/P DIF through a toslink, but in the past I've only been able to get 2.5 channels through the toslink. My MB has IEEE1394, but my receiver does not so that's not something I need. I'm also do not do much recording (if any), so all the inputs are rather wasted. The card I was considering is the Terratec 24/96 LT. Any thoughts, suggestions, or flames? TIA.
