Yet Another Snowboard thread. (pics of my new snowboard)

Damn good deal; snowboardings a lot of fun. I haven't gone quite enough times to make the purchase of a snowboard worthwhile, but I'm getting close.

You got snowboarding pants? I think those are some of the best things you can buy. You are in Northern Cali right? Which resort are you going to?

Yeah, I've got pants and a jacket and everything. I'm going to Boreal this Saturday.

Good old Boreal... If you're a decent snowboarder, the left side of Boreal is usually pretty empty. It probably is because the beginning and end of the course are a bit flat and you have to try real hard to keep on moving, but it sure beats having to fight through crowds all the time, plus no line at the lifts.

Have fun.

i think he means when you enter the place, that side being left side. I remember our side (we were on the left) being less busy than the other side. Discovery lift wasnt open, so we couldnt do that..

You got a hell of a good deal on that. I was pissed at you when I read that thread yesterday. 🙂

Oh, don't forget to take this along with you:

Yah thats what I meant. It was abit ambiguous, but if you were at the top of the mountain facing down I don't really think it would have mattered which side you chose 🙂. But yes, looking at a map it would be the left side.

i'd normally advise against people buying equipment before they ride for the first time, but you got a good deal.

Are those the new boots/bindings in that picture or old ??

And a question for you.....when going through 80 or 50 to get to either resorts.
If it is snowing heavily, they make you use chains.
If you have AWD with snow tire, they will let you through.

Now, if you just have FWD/RWD and you have snow tires, will they let you through or you must have AWD.

Well I got my snowboards too..

well have had them for a while.. and yes I did buy them before i learnt to board. But i did get a class on sunday. Now this week to practise my stuff.

Anyway the pics are here:

TGG's Snowboard + Boots + Bindings

I paid 165 for the board + boots + bindings.. it was used like 2 or 3 times..

i saw a sign this weekend that said 4wd = ok snow tires = ok

chains for other things.. AWD cars i saw didnt use chains they just drove straight up.
