I have the same memory with a GA-965-DS3 and it works at the rated speed without problems. I havent tried OCing it yet because I just put together my rig. I can say its a very decent stick. The heat sink on the memory looks amazing when you see it; the picture in newegg doesnt do any justice. I got the same hdd (not the raptor) and its pretty decent apart from some crackling sounds now and then; which is the seek crackle in most HDDs. I am not sure about the case because I havent seen it. I can definitely recommend my case:

I think the PSU is fine, but for the price you could definitely get better wattage. I followed AT's buyers guide for the PSU.

I also got an X1950 pro because it was sooper cheap. My processor is 6600. I think overall your rig will be pretty darn good! good luck

Looks pretty solid but I would personally make a few changes.

Video card: Gigabyte 7950GT -- A bit more expensive but it comes with an excellent Zallman HS/F stock.

PSU: Seasonic S12 -- Seasonic is a bit better then Enermax. I don't see a need for a 500 watt PSU here.

Case: Lian Li PC-7B -- Any build over $800 deserves a high-quality case in my opinion. Also a quality case will last through several CPU and GPU generations.

One of the main reasons I like the case i chose was the ability to have the audio ports on the top so i don't have to lean over for ne thing.. I may consider the video and psu though..

I just place my order at New Egg similiar to yours.
Here is what I went with:

COOLER MASTER Centurion 532 RC-532-SKN1 Black Aluminum bezel

ASUS P5B-E Socket T (LGA 775) Intel P965

eVGA 256-P2-N615-TX GeForce 7600GT

CORSAIR HX520w ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 520W

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Conroe 2.4GHz

G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

MITSUMI Black 1.44MB 3.5" Internal USB 2.0 digital card reader with Floppy Drive Model FA404M BLK

Three of these. One for system, two for a Raid0.
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3320620AS (Perpendicular Recording Technology) 320GB

SAMSUNG Black 18X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 18X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM

ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler

Total with shipping $1377.41

I need the extra cache the e6600 offer for encoding.
I like the top USB and Firewire ports of the case.
The P5B-E has what I need. I did not need the WIFI or extra IDE.
I am not into gaming so this card is a good compromise (in case I do ever play a game)
The power supply is quiet, modular, newer version and is EPS12v compatible.
(I have a need for EPS12v, long story about lightning and stupidity)
I have reports from others that this memory will work fine and can be overclocked.
Good rated, easy to install CPU cooler.
Multi card reader with floppy had good ratings.
The burner is multiformat too with good ratings.

The reviews on newegg for the case wernt very convincing; thats one of the reasons I went with the one I ordered. But as you said there are way too many options for cases (even though most of them are crappy/overpriced!). You should buy a good PSU in case you plan to SLI in the future. I got the G.Skill for 199 on the black friday weekend..its now like 239! Anyways i think you are all set! If you do not plan to SLI I dont see the reason for the ASUS board either..DS3 should do or so should a good MSI.

You can't go wrong with the CoolerMaster Centurion 532 case. I had a centurion 5 and absolutely loved it. Finally decided it was time for a new case, went with the CoolerMaster Centurion 532 and love it even more than my old Centurion 5. It looks nicer, has a little more space, and even keeps my system slightly cooler. Very sturdy. Everythings else looks pretty good.

I think it would be foolish to buy anything less than a 500w nowadays, may not need it for this rig, but it's more future proof than a 380w.

The Enermax is also modular, if that matters to the OP.

Your build will be very similar to what I just built:

Centurion 534. I really like this case! It was easy to work with and pretty roomy! They sent me the plus and it had an extra 120mm fan in it!

Asus P5W DH. Great Board! Tons of features too.

GIGABYTE GV-NX76G512P-RH GeForce 7600GS 512MB. Not a big gamer, but it serves its purpose. I played a few games with it and it looks and performs fine!

Sunbeam NUUO SUNNU550. Modular is the way to go!

E6300. Again, good enough for my purposes.

G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC 6400

NEC Black 1.44MB 3.5. I sent this back though. I don't really need a floppy anymore.

Freezer 7 Pro. I like the performance this provides.

2 SAMSUNG Black 18X DVD+R. I wanted a SATA Lightscribe drive but couldn't find one. :(

2 Rosewill Case Fans I ended up sending one back.

Samsung Widescreen Monitor. Nice monitor! I should have gotten a bigger one.

10 foot DVI cable. To get digital display with monitor and I need a longer cable for my desk.
