As it becomes more and more clear that this administration has taken economic failure to new heights, the rats keep jumping ship.

his insights and counsel have helped lead us toward an economy that is growing and creating millions of jobs.
Yeah, that's what comes to mind when I think of the current economy, "growing and creating millions of jobs". :D Apparently these guys really are out of touch with reality, it's not just an act.

Sad to say, but the GOP isn't offering a ship that's any closer to staying afloat either.

Every president has people that come and go. Many give up a lot of money to work for the gov so they only start 2 years give or take. Go back and look at Bush, Clinton, etc... and you will see the same thing.

Oh sorry, did I just point out your troll thread?

Just rats jumping off the SS Fail, they can see the writing on the wall. The mess they've made is starting to catch up with them.

It sounds like a disagreement with direction of policy, the dude wanted more Keynesian fiscal stimulus and the administration is more focused on fixing the deficit.

To be fair, every time anyone anywhere gets fired or quits, their opponents always say, "And yet another rat leaves the ship."

McDonald's fired 4 people yesterday. Burger King says "look at those rats leaving the sinking ship."

They are not being 'fired', they are leaving.

Most of the economic team that began with President Obama has hit the road.

It's not just one person here or there, pretty much the whole economic team of fail has bailed.

The ship floats on its own, all you have to do is stop weighing it down.

Your lack of understanding that will sink it and drown everyone.

QFT. Just about any high level Administration or White House job is extremely high stress, working hours as long as you can physically stand it and tons of high pressure. For decades now (at least back to the Kennedy Administration IIRC) two to three years has been pretty much the norm for most of these jobs.

The only real notable exception I can think of is William Gates (resigning end of this month) who held the Sec of Defense position for a superhuman long time.

Also, should it be surprising to me that the so-called right always seem to forget their boy screwed the pooch and wrecked the economy on his watch? Blaming Obama is like blaming the doctor for the heart attack that brought you to the emergency room in the first place.

Astounding partisan lameness.

It's all Obama's fault, obviously. He used Kenyan voodoo mind control to force the Bushistas to invade 2 countries & cock-up the occupations, deregulate banking, tout the ownership society, cut taxes to the lowest level in 60 years, grow the federal bureaucracy at the greatest rate since the Great Society & a few other minor details.

Righties seem to want to forget that the outgoing Prez & VP couldn't show their faces at their Party's 2008 nominating convention because they'd screwed things up so badly.

But they still Believe in all the notions that brought us to the edge of economic collapse, just with greater fervor. It's as if none of that ever happened & it all just fell apart when Obama took the oath of office.

Just remember- it's all Obama's fault! even crabgrass- he invented the stuff.

... says a partisan hack. Usually you're not one of them.

The GOP isn't offering a ship that will float any better than Obama's.

They suuuuuure did. They screwed it up in major ways during their administration. That's what makes it so incredibly hard to believe that 3 years into this administration we'd be wishing for the good old days under GWB. That's how badly obummer messed it up. He took fail, and raised it to astoundingly new levels.

66% of people say the country is "seriously on the wrong track", and all the "but but but boooosh" in the world isn't going to fix that. At some point you have to take ownership and be a leader. 66% of independents now disapprove of the president's handling of the economy.

Rich, coming from you....

Righties seem to want to forget that the outgoing Prez & VP couldn't show their faces at their Party's 2008 nominating convention because they'd screwed things up so badly.

Lefties seem to want to forget that as bad as Bush was (and he was terrible), they couldn't manage to put up a semi-decent candidate in 2004 to beat him when he was ripe for the picking.

Just remember- it's all Obama's fault! even crabgrass- he invented the stuff.

When does it become Obama's fault? Whenever things go badly around here, all we hear is "Bu...Bu...Buuuuuush!" Make no mistake -- Bush royally screwed up. Obama has been in office for 2+ years now and things aren't showing signs of improving IMO. Are you guys going to still be blaming Bush 5 years from now if Obama was re-elected and is about to end his second term?

Can people just stop for a minute and try to stop looking at politics as a my team vs your team thing? That's not what it is at all, and that only serves as a distraction so that you don't question how badly people are raping the country.

I think it is normal when people leave. Typically, they stay for a year or two and then look to "cash-in" on their work. The new mayor of Chicago could tell you that. I don't see it as anything but a time to move on and get a less stressful job and probably more money. No harm in doing that.

I did not mention the GOP.

Some GOPers play pretend and dress up like tea parties to steal votes they don't deserve. Not a shred of integrity in any of them, but hey, they pay lip service to the idea.

Name one Democrat who does.

We need to stop letting people from Chicago run our economy. Seriously, they can't even float a city...why the hell did we expect them to be able to handle the whole country?

What we need is a few Jews.

In general there's been less turnover for Obama than the average administration. But let's be honest here, if nobody had left the OP's thread title would be 'OBAMA REFUSES TO CHANGE ANYTHING, DURRRRR'. Hell, if everything in the country were great it would be 'OBAMA EATS ARUGULA, DURRRR'.

Our good friend PokerGuy knows he doesn't like Obama and needs to attack him, so then he searches for something until he finds it.

Yeah, because we all know the economy and our economic policies have been such a resounding smashing success, it's incredibly hard to find any issue to be upset about.

Judging by the latest polls (see my earlier post), the people (especially independents) are starting to understand where the blame lies.
