You are right but I just killed an Antec 480 on a basic Intel 3.0 system and want overkill. :)

edit: 'Made for SLI' is just marketing correct?

wanted to keep it under $100-$115 shipped

At that price, I honestly woudl start searching for Antec, OCZ, Fortron, Seasonic and maybe PC P&C deals. Seriously with Seasonic deals (if there are one) you should jump on.

I jumped on the 600W deal for $106 =P

Now STOP TALKING about how 480W is enough or whatever ok. Wattage alone is not enough to determine whether the PSU is enough or not. Seriously, many of you talk about PSUs like you guys are super PROs or something. I didn't get a 600W because I need all 600W. I got it because of the 18A per rail. Yes a Antec 480W should supply 18A per 12V rail (dual rail) and in that sense it is enough. However, this varies from PSU to PSU, so you really need to pay attention to the individual rails.

Fortron Bluestorm, OCZ Modstream 520 (maybe opt for a Powerstream if you can), Antec TP 2.0 480, Seasonic 500/600 (preferably 600 cuz Seasonics rails are slightly weaker than most others), Enermax Noisetaker..
