I guess I just keep noticing these small things as I go on restoring all my old programs/settings.
It seems that this time Linux did not identify my SB Audigy2.. When I installed Slack 9 it picked up my SB Audigy2 no problem and I could adjust the front and rear speakers and everything. Now though, after installing 9.1 I have totally different things in kmix, rather than my SB Audigy2 I have SigmaTel and Analog Devices.. I'm not sure what either of these are.. perhaps one is my onboard sound that I never use? Regardless I'd really like to use my SB Audigy2 and both my front AND rear speakers .. anyone know how I can configure the soundcard? I really know nothing about configuring sound in linux
<edit>
So I did some exploring, installed the emu10k1 drivers from emu10k1.sourceforge.net(or whatever the addy was) then ended up running alsamixer and noticed the massive selection of virtual sliders. So I screwed with 'em one at a time until I found both the controls for my TV Tuner and Rear speakers.. so I had it all set up perfectly then all of a sudden my right speakers(front and rear just stop).. now I'm without right channel
<edit 2>
So now I musta hit something again and now the right channel works, the rears work. TV Tuner audio works, so I'm just not going to touch anything.
