Yet Another Partitioning Thread

<sarcasm>Yay ... it's that time again. Someone needs help on partitioning configuration. </sarcasm> 😛

Hmkay people ... I'm off to buy a new computer today (in fact, one hour from now). Will be back with a IBM 75GXP 46.1GB hard disk. Now I need opinions on disk formatting.

Here's what I need.

[*]Win2k installation today
[*]WinME installation this week
[*]Linux installation still this month

[*]WinME and Win2k file sharing (both will be FAT32)
[*]Optimum system organization
[*]If possible, WinME and Win2k sharing the same installed app.

[*]Win2k will be the primary Do-it-all OS
[*]WinME will be for those pesky games that won't run/runs very very bad on Win2k
[*]Linux will get thrashed with messy installs all the time, as I'm still a darn newbie. m the one responsable to the Linux implementation at my school, and the computer there gets very messy. Well, it's still in implementation stage

I don't think there is any real need to use *all* of the same apps in both Win2K and Win9x/ME. As you stated, WinME will be used when something doesn't work under Win2K.

Read the sig for some ideas. Feel free to e-mail or PM me.
