Yet another Nvidia GT question

Well I have a :
P4 2.8c
neo fis2r (865pe)
MSI 6800GT@stock speeds
1gb RAM

I use 61.21 Forceware in XPpro and I scored around 10500 in 3dmark03 which I find normal right?
I tried to timedemo DIII at 16x12 with AA/AF disabled at C/P(global settings)
I only get around 32.2fps which I find extremely low.
Also Far Cry perf is somehow low too. (around 50fps at 10x7 max set)
Is that a driver issue? Should I update to 61.77 ?
I find it weird though since I hear that with my card I can do at least 50-60fps at 16x12 in DIII
Well I kinda have forgotten Nvidia tweaks so I need a hand these first few dayz.
Thanks in advance

Ok now I'm confused. I looked at Nvidi'a site driver history and there's no 61.21 driver.
It starts from 61.76
These drivers are downloaded from my manufacturer's site. Is there any possibility that there will be such a difference from these (61.21) to 61.77 or it must be somethin else?

Did you do a fresh install, or at the least clean out old drivers? If you didn't that could be your problem. As could having the older driver. The one you have I believe was a beta one earlier on not too long after the 6800 cards came out. You're probably only seeing the WHQL certified ones on their site. Update your driver and then see, if that doesn't solve it, run driver cleaner and then re-install the newest driver.

Often later drivers means improved performance on the GPU cores. Try the 61.76s. they will likely improve your performance by some percentage. Make sure you dont have AA enabled or set to 4X at least. might be that..

uninstall your drivers run driver cleaner in safe mode and install the 61.77's You shoud geta decent boost from those very earlier drivers you are using now.
