Hey guys, I don't do much shopping with newegg, and their rather violent policies on shipping, card verification etc always frustrate me...
Well I just placed an order for a product (a few hours ago) and got an email that my order was "successfully charged." However, on their order status page, in big red letters it says BAD - We have yet to contact your credit card issuer bank for additional verification, or your address did not verify (you will be notified via email if this is the case..
Now, I can in fact read the instructions that tell me to wait a day before calling, and I'll respect that because I understand that a web based business doesn't need jerks calling them up 10 mins after they placed their order. However, my ship-to and bill-to addresses were the same, so if "my card was successfully charged" I don't understand why they would need to do any sort of special address verification?
I'm just trying to see if this is standard procedure for an order that hasn't gone very far in the process, or if the big red "BAD" does in fact mean that I should be calling them asap.
The reason I'm being anxious is that it's a $1000 product has a $100 rebate that expires tomorrow - so I want to make sure my order is actually going to happen. I've had bad online experiences in the past where the vendor arbitrarily cancels the order and if that were to happen in this case, I'd be out that $100....
