Yet Another Newbie Vista Question...

I want to move the entire "Users" folder to another drive to free up space and simplify backup. Is there anything special that I need to do in order to make this happen? I recall in XP that this required some user action to let windows know where they were, but it has been a long, long time...

It's quite an involved process, but here's a step-by-step guide:

You can also move the individual document (Music, Videos, Pictures, etc) folders, which is MUCH easier...just right click the folders you wish to move > Properties > Location tab.

lol wow that is a lot of steps.

I only use a few of them so i just move individually as you said.
