Exactly. It's not like the salt has the mass and inerta of lead or steel pellets or the aerodynamic efficiency. They're chunks of salt, very light and aero-challenged, and lose their momentium upon impact. Rock salt has been the farmer's friend for decades ..... excellent for teaching miscreant interlopers and animals the error of their ways in a non-lethal fashion.
