You can tell from the first 10 minutes of the movie that its eviromentalist-wacko propaganda. The cgi is pretty good, especially the wave coming into New York. But thats pretty much it. I don't even think its good enough to rent. I really wouldn't bother seeing it if you haven't seen it yet. Wait for someone to burn you a copy on DVD...

It was OK. I can ignore the propaganda as long as I am being entertained. About 2/3 of the way through the movie, I quit being entertained. There came a point where I started checking my watch every few minutes. But I did enjoy the first 2/3 as mindless entertainment.

Guy2: "Aw man, thats just political propoganda, the hundreds of millions of scientists were all bribed, every one in the world, by (insertpoliticalleadersnamehere) to get us to stop driving so we'd all take longer to get to work and it'd give them a chance to snoop through our house and plant invisible bugs so they can spy on our life! Keep driving your car man, it's not gonna hurt the earth at all!"
 
i was entertained..i didn't give a crap nor cared for any political propaganda the movie may have had.

The effects and destruction and that chic, emma something?, was cool. Emmerich's bent on descruction of LA and NY, sick sick man, lol
 
There was no agenda when they made this film. However, the studio had no problem at all hopping in for the ride when the liberal environmentalists decided to champion this film. After all, The Passion showed that a little bit of controversy is always a good thing for $$$.

This movie sucked though. I honestly don't remember a single conversation in the movie. I actually don't think there were any conversations in the movie.

Ok dude, slowly back away from the crackpipe. Take it easy. I realize its just a movie. Were just criticizing the poor cover the put on the political message. Relax, take a prozac or something....we'll get thru this!!!
