Yet Another Gaming Rig Recommendation Thread

Looks decent, but I have a couple of comments: (a) since you won't be overclocking, you can save some money by getting DDR3 1333 and (b) I don't think that it's worth the hassle to save your old IDE drives because $20 buys you a new SATA DVD-RW.
mFenn, thanks again, and another stupid question triggered by your comment on the memory.

I checked the specifications on the Gigabyte board, and it states the following for memory:
DDR3 1866(OC)/1333/1066

I just checked the specifications on the G.Skill RAM I previously selected, and it states: G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

Because the G.Skill RAM I selected is DDR3 1600, and the board specified DDR3 1866(OC)/1333/1066, does that mean my original selection won't even work with the board?

I noticed your alternate recommendation is 1333, so assume it is compatible.

Yeah, the DDR3 1600 would work. Anything above DDR3 1333 is technically overclocking, so Gigabyte just lists the highest "supported" overclock.
