Yet another FedEx WTF?

I placed an order with Newegg on the 23rd...next day I get a shipping notification. Expected the order to arrive yesterday or today due to the holiday. Just tracked the package with my FedEx number and it is still in New Jersey. It left Edison NJ on the 24th, but has been in Newark NJ ever since. What is up with that. Last update says it arrived at the Newark facility at 10:50am on the 24th.....after that nothing......

<rant>Last time I put an order through with them, they delivered the package to the wrong side of town (Street names and house # weren't even similar). They didn't bother to tell me; the recipient of my package took the time to look me up. The person had called Fedex, who told them it'd be the following week before they could rectify their mistake. I ended up driving over there to pick it up myself.

What bothers me most about the situation is Fedex didn't even take the time to inform me after they found out about it, and that I had to fix it myself.</rant> Other than that, no problems.

I had something similar happen with UPS. They delivered something to the wrong house on the opposite side of town from me. Had to go through hell to get them to even tell me that. When they finally admitted to it I asked them when they would pick the package up and deliver it to me. They told me that they would not do that. They had delivered the package and their job was done. Pretty much told me tough sh1t and good luck finding your package. I fvcking hate UPS!!! Sadly FedEx is getting to be almost as bad.

Might want to give them a call, I work for UPS, and I can't tell you how many times I have seen packages that maybe have a slight problem with the label(readability/error)get recylced through the system day after day. And the sad fact is that generally the low level people like myself get blamed, even though we give the package to our supervisors, who in turn give it to thiers, and then those guys making 6 figures a year, just put it back in the system.


Also I have seen a couple of packages somehow make it into an obscure place you wouldn't think to look for them, and then one day you just happened to find it and wonder how long its been there. I would definately call them and make sure they still know where the package is. Although with the holiday in there its more likely that they are just slow, but thats still a long time.

Called them a bit ago.....they have no idea where my package is. Someone is supposed to call me back later tonight.
