Yet another Ebay question...

I just won an item a few hrs back, but when I look at the sellers information it says that he is not a registered user. This morning he was a registered user, but somewhere in the last couple of hours all of his listings have been ended and he is no longer a registered user. Do i need to complete the transaction with him, (sounds a bit fishy so i would rather not). If he is not registered then the deal is no longer in the hands of ebay, and thus he wouldnt be leaving me feedback anyways?

thanks...

I'm interested in the answer to this.... so I hope someone posts something.

If I were you, I'd ask ebay.

Regardless of their answer, I doubt I'd go through with the transaction -- unless I _really_ wanted whatever-it-was -- and it was <$10 paypal. They sure as heck wouldn't get a check from me.
Figure any money you hand over is lost and you probably won't get the item.

Leave it alone & observe for a couple days. If his status doesn't come back after a while, just consider the transaction void. If he does come back, make it your business to know exactly what happened before even thinking about continuing with the transaction.

Yeah I emailed ebay and am awaiting an answer. Like most of you said im just going to wait it out and see what happens...The seller sells mostly brand name clothing so im assuming he prolly had a brush with Ebay's VERO program and probably was selling fake brand name aparell.

No. He was banned because that "sounds a bit fishy" auction is a scam.

You have no obligation to follow through when you've just been saved from being scammed.
