i know this sounds very silly, but it's something i've been wondering for a long time....

when people die in their sleep, do they get stuck in the dream?

Doubt it, because dreams are the cause of mental capacities and mental work. It's basically your psyche that is doing the work. When you die, your brain gets shut down... your entire body ceases to conduct itself, therefore the dream basically "turns-off" on you :(

well, you're the angelsentfromupabove, shouldn't you be able to tell us?;)

seriously though, i would doubt that happens...although i guess that could be seen as a way of hell...an evil person dies in their sleep during a nightmare... while the good are forever in a great dream:)

you can have plenty of dreams a night and they incorperate your imaginatino and desires you see at life as well as goes along with the sounds you hear around you, so i would prob doubt it.......we will all find out in our short time though

plus you only remember dreams when you wake up in the middle of one

I doubt that it's possible to get "stuck in a dream." The mind would shut down and hence the dream would end. My guess would be that, if anything, the death would be incorporated into the dream.

something i don't like is that when i sleep i dream, but when i'm given anestesia (sp?) like for my surgerys i pased out and woke up like there wasn't a minute between time.. i sometimes think dying may be something like that :( though i am an orthodox christian :)
