System is for all-purpose general usage (internet/productivity/encoding) and gaming. Will be overclocking to whatever I can manage to get on air cooling. I'm re-using hard drives, optical drives, and displays.

Native res for gaming is 1600x1200 but I'm also looking into getting a 37" 1080p LCD in the near future. Total amount of pixels is almost the same though so if it handles 1600x1200 gaming it should do fine with 1920x1080.

I'm still torn between a 165 or 146 for almost half the price. Also somewhat considering a X850XT for almost half the price of the 7900GT but I'm afraid an X850XT won't be as future proof for gaming at those resolutions. I have a X800XT PE in my current system and it already chokes on some newer titles at 1600x1200.

ZZF has the SP500 PSU for $50 AR but I like the NeoHE for low-noise and efficiency - leaning towards paying the $15 premium for it. The system stays on 24/7 and I like as much performance as I can get out of as little noise as possible.

It's Dell memory with Samsung TCCC chips. I figure I'd give them a shot and see how far they can be pushed before commiting to something else.
