What kind of computers speakers are you guys takin to the dorms?

Is there an overkill for a little ole dorm room, or should you jam it out with some promedias'?

Just curious, I want to take my 4.1's but I just don't know-

Peace out-

Dude you are debating whether or not promedias? Geez :p I am taking my $2000+ home theater setup which includes the 10" sub. It owns in the dorms!

There is no such thing as overkill on speakers in a dorm room.

Last year one of the guys I lived with had promedia 4.1s and his z560 logitech 4.1s hooked up to the same computer.

I am debating whether to take my Logitech Z560s or my Monsoon MM-700. The Monsoon's sound better, but the logitechs are just loud :D

The bigger the better. I used to have a huge HT system like kami, but it was a pain to transport all the time. A 12 inch sub is very very fun though.

Right now Im using the videologic digitheater DTS. About as high end of computer speakers as you can get.

I'm taking my Z-560's. Roommate has the Monsoon MH-505.

Also, I'm hooking up my car amp/subs to my computer.. two 12" Orions.

So that's 9 satellites and 4 subs in a 11'x15' room.

You might want to be a little careful....

There was a guy on my floor in first year who had a very loud stereo. He used to play "taking care of business" all the time extremely loudly. For the most part we let it go. Well, one night he got hammered and played it well into the early morning hours so loudly that there were a lot of people who couldn't sleep.

We got up the next morning (once he had gone to bed) picked up his mattress (with him in it totally hungover), carried it all the way to the dining area (that was almost full :D), put it on top of one of the dining tables (that was being used), took all his bedding (except the fitted sheet) and chucked a jug of cold water on him just for good measure. Lucky for him he had worn boxer shorts to bed the night before. :)
