I have the opportunity to pay $20 CDN for unlimited evenings, unlimited weekends and 150 anytime minutes a month on Rogers AT&T's GSM service. This will be a mandatory 2-year deal. To get straight to the point, I've decided the Sony Ericsson T68i is just too expensive, leaving me with:

1. Motorola v60g [review]
2. Nokia 6310i [review]

The 6310i seems to have a *lot* more features at the main expense of size. The 6310i is also cheaper by $60 CDN. The Motorola v60 is generally better known and more available. Anyone with personal experience with the two phones? I'm especially interested in people who've checked out the 6310i, since I'm leaning that way.

Thanks guys! :)

I have the US AT&T TDMA version of that Nokia, the 6360, and it is a great phone. It's thin and has no external antenna, so it's easy to carry in your pocket. I'm told that the outgoing voice quality is quite good as well. I almost wish I wasn't in a contract with Verizon, so I could use the AT&T phone more (I have it on a pre-paid plan for backup purposes only). You need to remember to lock the keypad (press MENU, *) before you put it in your pocket. The Motorola is a clamshell and clamshell phones will never accidentially dial in your pocket, so you never need to lock the keypad. Just close the cover.

My boss has a V60i on Verizon. He reports good standby and talk time.

I'm thinking of getting a V60i for myself because I'm so tired of the crappy phonebook and sub-par battery life of my LG-TM510.

My verdict: Motorola, because it's a clamshell.

The v60 has crazy battery life. However I would reccomend a leather case or a holster with it for sure. The silver does scratch off if the v60 is just left aroudn with keys and stuff.
