So I really like the looks of the wavemaster, but am concerned about the cooling/noise. The silverstone has a 120mm fan vs the 80mm ones in the wavemaster. Has anybody built a system with either of these? I would love to hear your comments.

Here are links to both cases:

Cheers!

120mm fans have a much better cfm/noise ratio than 80mm fans. If you are at all concerned about noise I would certainly get a case with 120mm fans. The Silverstone has no removably motherboard tray which is a big minus if you work on your PC often. Also it looks like only the front is made of aluminium. At that price I think the Silverstone is kind of a rip-off.
The Wavemaster is a solid case but it only has 80mm fans, which for me would be a reason not to buy it.
I think the Chenbro Gaming Bomb 2 is the best miditower there is feature-wise and also looks very good. Unfortunately it's not avalable yet I think (but should be soon).

Your post is what made me question getting the coolermaster adn looking to similarly styled cases. Is it possible to put 120's where the 80's areusing adapters? Would this even help?

im so bumed! those are the two candidate cases for my new pc and im luring more and more that they are not good at cooling. also they lack in the silent department i have been told. and nickel020 is right, the Silverstone is to much money, i don?t think anyone should pay that much for a case......
i think im going to go for the antec p160, its not the best looking case but it has everything i want. silent, good air flow, front usb and audio and also a nice temp gage http://www.antec.com/us/pro_en_performance1.html

Anyoneseen the silverstone in person. How does the metal finish compare to the coolermaster. I have tried to look at pictures but it is ahrd to tell. I haven't found a local place in Houston that sells either in black. I have found the wavemaster in silver and it seems very welll built and the metal finish looks great.

Anyone?

I don't think $165 is too much for a case, I just think that the Silverstone isn't worth that much. For that much money, it should either be a quality full aluminium case or have some very nice features, and the Silverstone is lacking in the feature department, as is the Wavemaster (80mm fans).

I don't think you can mount a 120mm fan in front unless you hack away with a dremel. It wouldn't help anyways because the holes aren't big/abundant enough for fresh air.

Maybe I am being a little harsh, the only bad thing about the wavemaster is the poor air circulation. The quality and features are great. For starters, the removable mobo tray is awesome. I've utilized this option almost everytime I work on the components. The craftsmanship is great also.
