Is there any way to make the flash less bright? Really pissing me off because it's too dark without the flash and too bright with the flash.
 
I'm not sure about the A75, but on my S45 you have to change from Auto mode to P. Bring up the white balance menu, scroll down to the flash intensity slider and adjust accordingly. I hope this help, because I believe most of the canons have the same basic features.
 
My A80 has it. It's not under P though, you have to set it to full manual (M) to change the flash intensity. Hit FUNC and it should be the first option.
 
Not necessarilly the Flash strength rather it adjust all the colors (White = the presence of all colors) for pics based off of the lighting situation...
