Happens on my iPhone 6 and iPad.
Totally ineffective ad because it pops up, shows its content for maybe a second then becomes “clear” so at least I can read but cannot click anything below the banner. See imageB3AABB5C-85FF-4785-9DC2-3A9E98224A76.png

I have an iPad mini and can't reproduce the problem. Perhaps others can.

It’s back but behaving more normally. Takes over the screen but I can scroll a lot to get past it now

Use a browser with an ad blocker extension.

From around 2017 onward, you can't browse the forums on mobile without getting those kind of ads. Annoying? Yes, but it is what it is.
