This motherboard was great until I put an x2 and 2gb of ram in it, and then it was all down hill from there. I've tried a number of the solutions posted in the previous threads but my system just can't seem to be 100% reliable. I think I've got it stable and then out of no where it locks up, BSODs, or games start acting very odd. I'm very sick of it and so I've decided to get a new motherboard.

I was looking at the DFI motherboards and also the A8N32-Delux. The A8N32 looks great, with the 8 phase power and the review anandtech put up about it made it sound excellent. Same goes with DFI, people seem to love those boards. Whats the general opinion A8N32-Delux or a DFI SLi board?

I won't give my opinion about any DFI product (you won't like it), but if you are having problems with the ASUS A8N-SLI Premium why would you chance using another high end ASUS product?

In your shoes I'd at least check out the MSI K8N Diamond, it's SLIx16 just like the ASUS board.

Am I correct in that you went from a Single Core to a Dual Core ?

Did you re-install your OS ?

How about the X2 patch, did you install that as well ?

I might even think about resetting the CMOS, though that may be unnecessary.

I did a total clean install with my dual core so that shouldn't be the problem. I haven't applied this x2 patch, because I thought it was only for cool and quiet. But I will give it a try and also I'll check out the MSI board, I had forgotten about them :)
